Mt 9:31

"But when they had departed they spread the news about Him in all that country" Mt 9:31

The context is: Joyous celebration after healing. The two blind men disobeyed the charge of secrecy Jesus gave them in V30.

Sometimes God blesses us for our own private benefit.  Many have made an inference that Jesus commanded secrecy in order to protect an effort He was making.  But the simpler reminder is that the request is made for our own wonder and benefit, perhaps even protection.

Matthew Henry puts it: "When ever we profess to direct our intentions to the glory of God, we must see to it that the action be according to the will of God."

Where we witness man's use of the good Name of God -- are we seeing the fruit of the spirit?
