Why Flip

"Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful" Joshua 1:8

Time-compressed life isn't fulfilling, nor is it "more abundant."  Being busy, working hard... is just being busy. It's unfortunate that believers sacrifice time in God's Word to attend matters of the world, but issues seem so pressing. (Groceries, soccer practice, mow the lawn...)

From an eternal perspective, skipping an appointment with God and scripture is wasting time on other stuff! 

Flipture is no replacement for a daily period of devotion and study.  Nevertheless, we're not chained to routine: Spirit-filled life is being free, seeking wisdom, thirsty for reality ... always curious, facing questions. 

"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lam. 3:22-23

Be surprised:  Take a moment.  Flip open God's Word. 

"The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord." Prov. 16:33

The leaves of scripture fall open to rich fare; food for the soul.  

"In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it." Isaiah 30:15

A quiet, authentic mind before the Lord is essential.... Jesus meets believers wherever and whenever He is approached.
